This blog first began as a way to keep track of my adventures as an employee of a Christian bookstore in the Minneapolis area. A lot has happened since then. I've left the Christian bookstore, dropped out of seminary and moved to the West Coast. Now, this blog is more or less reflections on Christianity, the evangelical Christian subculture, and other semi-related topics.
The question, “What did Jesus look like?” has plagued the church for centuries. According to the Beverly Hills Teddy Bear Company, makers of the Messengers of Faith doll line, he looks like Val Kilmer.

Does it play quotes from the movie "Heat" when you pull the string?
Thanks for the chuckle. My husband and I both laughed aloud when we looked at the comparison. When we got to the last pic, my husband said "Val Kilmer with Kung Fu grip." It just made me laugh even harder. And then he said "you can't believe in Jesus without Kung Fu grips." :)
btw...have you read ""American Jesus: How the Son of God Became a National Icon"? It's an insightful book.
Look at the hands. Perfect to hold a bottle or a cup/glass of something. (Wine, perhaps?) ;)
